Ever since I was young I always had a passion for learning how and why things worked. When I found Williams Soaring Center I became quickly captivated by these non-powered aircraft I had seen flying around. I needed to know more. I began running line and doing airport maintenance in exchange for flight time in the summer of 2009. I was hooked, not only with flying but with aviation as a whole. I started in the shop soon after that winter. I spent any time I could around school and sports detailing and refinishing gliders, learning everything I could. After a brief college hiatus, I went back to work full time at the Soaring Center. After a few years of working under my mentor Rex Mayes, and with the help of the Soaring Center I started Schaefer Aviation. 

Apart from aviation my other hobbies include: Creating music and art, working on my house, traveling, and helping others.
